MANILA — The state procurement agency has opened a “virtual store” for common supplies and equipment to make transactions faster, the Department of Budget and Management said Wednesday.

Agencies using the Procurement Service-Philippine Government Electronic Procurement System or PS-PhilGEPS can use electronic wallets for payment, with deliveries within 3 days for agencies in Metro Manila, the DBM said in a statement.

The virtual store was launched on Sept. 10 and will be rolled out to all government agencies nationwide in October, the DBM said.

“Through the use of this system, transparency in government procurement is enhanced since opportunities to trade with government and the ensuing transactions are provided online,” said Budget Secretary Benjamin Diokno.
